What is ASPMap:
ASPMap is a high-performance, server-side mapping
component for embedding spatial data access, display and analysis capabilities
in web applications and services. ASPMap adds interactive maps to your
web site, dynamically generating maps such as: streets and highways, parcel
maps, delivery routes and aerial photography.
Whether you have a local government, real estate or a
vehicle tracking web site, ASPMap can give you the functionality you need
to turn the occasional visitor to your site into a regular user. For more

xPTDigiMapAnalyser
2.0:
xPert Technologies developed xPTDigiMapAnalyser 2.0 using ASPMap.
It was developed to test and evaluate Shape files that were produced during
digitizing process of maps. This software converts Shape files so that
they can be displayed in image formats such as jpg, png, bmp.
This helps in testing and evaluating the Shape files & whether they
have been correctly Geo Referenced and digitized. This software is useful
for all those companies who provide digitizing solutions. With this software
they can easily check the quality of their shape files.

Some of the advanced features of this software are:
-
Zooming: This software provides four types of
zooming: Zoom full, Zoom in , Zoom out, Zoom selected area. Zoom full
will display the map to its full extents. Zoom in and zoom out increases
and decreases the zooming of the map. Zoom to specific area by drawing
a rectangle on the area you wish zoom into. By clicking within that
selected area, the map will zoom in the selected area
-
Pan: Panning allows scrolling of the map.
-
Import Log Files: You can import GPS Log files
(containing NMEA sentences) and plot the latitude, longitude and direction
the vehicle is traveling on the map. This functionality is good for
performing GPS tasks.
-
Find: Two functions are performed by find. That
is find by latitude and longitude and find place, cities, streams
etc over the map. Find by latitude and longitude is further divided
into three types of categories that is find by entering decimal value,
NMEA reading and Degree, minutes and seconds information. In find
by places you type the name of any places, city etc and it will return
the corresponding values found.
-
Display Grids: We can display grids by selecting
degree values of: 1.0, 0.5 up to 0.001. It will show the grids with
horizontal and vertical lines grid extent values.
-
Scale unit: Scale unit is the measure of the
distance both horizontal and vertical in Miles or KM.
-
Grid Scale: This is the size of the each Grid
(can be displayed either in KM or Meters.)
-
Manipulation with Layers: Program at startup
will add all the necessary shape files from the folder specified to
the list box. By checking and unchecking we can easily add and delete
layers over the map. If there is no match found for the shape file
in the database then we add the default information according to layer
default properties.
-
Legends: Each layer has a legend information
that is based on the type of layer inserted. So each time the
layer is added its legend information is displayed in the right hand
window as a legend
-
Location Sensor: Location sensor shows the latitude
and longitude information at the status bar when we move our mouse
over the map.
-
XML: XML helps us to customize our layer information.
XML database consists of information about each layer i.e. how it
is to be displayed on the map. One can customize each layer according
to their needs.
