We are currently developing PC-based software (Telebudgie) so that vehicles
located at different sites throughout the country, can be configured and
monitored remotely; and graphical and textual reports generated from the
data logged by the Falcom Stepp.
Telebudgie has a Visual Basic front-end and is integrated
with Microsoft MapPoint 2002/4. It has the ability to download history
logs into a SQL database and display snail trails (route taken) by vehicles.
It also has the ability to send and receive SMS messages using a Nokia
6210 mobile phone (with data cable).
For Fleet Management operations the Falcom Stepp is ideally
suited – a highly flexible and configurable GPS tracking, GSM communication
and data logging device. This device logs the route taken by your vehicles
based on speed, distance traveled and elapsed time; and will enable you
to locate, track and communicate with your drivers and vehicles en-route,
in real-time, safely, legally and efficiently at minimal cost. In addition,
the Falcom Stepp can make GSM voice calls or send SMS messages to your
mobile phone to notify you of significant events taking place with the
vehicle or driver e.g. if the driver is speeding over 70 mph.

to see an image of a GPS Parsing Form. It displays components of an NMEA
string and stores them to the Telebudgie Fleet Management Database designed
in SQL.

TeleBudgie Fleet Management System developed in VB to
monitor and track vehicles
fitted with Falcom Stepp, using Mappoint 2002/4 and GSM SMS messaging.
